Tax Credits for Families with Children
  · Child Tax Credit - Our program will automatically claim the Child Tax Credit of up $1,000 per qualifying dependent child.
  · Advance Child Tax Credit - If you received part of the Child Tax Credit earlier this year, our program will determine if you are eligible for the balance of the credit and file your claim.
  · Additional Child Tax Credit - The Child Tax Credit is a non-refundable credit.  It can only reduce your taxes to zero.  Based on your income and family situation you may be eligible for the refundable Additional Child Tax Credit.  Our program will calculate it for you.
· Child and Dependent Care - If you and your spouse (if you are married) work, are students or are disabled you can claim a credit for up to $6,000 of dependent care expenses.  The credit is a percentage of your expenses based on the number of dependents and your income.  Enter your information and we will calculate your credit.
· Earned Income Credit (EIC) - EIC is a refundalbe federal income tax credit for low-income working individuals and families. Our program sorts through the numerous requirements and calculates your share of this $4,400 credit. You may get more back than you paid in.
· Adoption Credit - You may be able to take a tax credit of up to $10,630 for qualifying expenses paid to adopt an eligible child (including a child with special needs). Our program can calculate this credit and handle the carryforward of unused credits.
· Tax on a Child's Investment Income - You as a parent may be able to avoid having to file a tax return for your child by including the child's income on your tax return. We can prepare Form 8814, Parent's Election to Report Child's Interest and Dividends for you.
